INTRODUCTION

Annie Macaulay Idibia is a popular Nigerian, model, presenter and actress, she has earned herself quite some huge fan base because of the things she does. Annie started acting in 2009 and today she's an A-list actress in the movie Industry. Annie is also the wife of the famous Nigerian musician 2baba.

EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND

Annie Idibia was born in Ibadan. She’s from Eket, Akwa Ibom state. She is also from a family of four children; three brothers and herself. Her mum and dad divorced many years ago.

She lived in Ibadan with her parents, her father was working with Mobil and my mother was a house wife. She remained a house wife until they divorced. She was born with a silver spoon but she didn’t grow up with it because their father left them.
After her parents divorced, her mother got a job with Mobil working as a cook to support the family. Thereafter, they moved to Jakande Estate, Lekki, Lagos and later moved to Thomas Estate, also on the Island. After the entire struggle, God blessed them tremendously and now her eldest brother is married, the second one too is married and lives in Atlanta but her younger brother died of tuberculosis at 15.

She started working immediately after she graduated from secondary school at age 15. She worked as a sales girl in a boutique and two other places before she got admission to study.
She also worked part time as an undergraduate of Computer Science at the Lagos State University when she was 18-years-old. Thereafter, she got admission into the University of Lagos where she bagged a degree in Theatre Arts.

Annie revealed; everything that happened made her stronger and independent as a woman. As the only girl, her mother taught her to do domestic chores. Today she is married and she has domestic staffs but she still cooks and does house chores.
She was almost a tom boy while growing up because of her brothers. Her major heartbreak was when her parents divorced. It affected her so much while she was in secondary school but her mum tried her best to make life meaningful for them.
She assisted her mother in her shop which was very close to their house after school. She was also working to make ends meet.
She has however reconciled with her father after much pressure from her mum to forgive and forget regardless of the past. Now they all have a good relationship with their father.

CAREER AND LIFE

She came into Nollywood in 2009, but before then she had featured in minor roles while in the University. After graduation and the birth of her first baby, she got deeply involved in acting.

She attended so many auditions after her secondary education and also did some modelling jobs for a while earning as little as N2000. The highest fee she ever earned was N5000 but she wasn’t discouraged. She worked with Dakova and KC Jabari and also did ushering jobs at events. She was also second runner-up of Queen of All Nations Beauty Pageant and after that she went fully into Nollywood.

Prior to the start of Annie Macaulay–Idibia's acting career, she competed at the "Queen of All Nations Beauty Pageant" where she placed runner-up and she also went on feature in a cameo appearance on the music video of 2face Idibia's "African Queen" song.
Her Nollywood career came to limelight for her role in the movies titled Pleasure and Crime and Blackberry Babes.Annie Macaulay–Idibia is married to 2face Idibia with whom she has two children. She also owns a beauty salon in Atlanta called "BeOlive Hair Studio".

She met her husband Tuface in 1999 and they started dating in 2002. They dated till they got married in 2012. Though, there were times they had differences during courtship but the bond they shared and love for each other took them to the altar.

Annie narrates: “The moment our eyes met at Even Ezra Studios many years ago, I knew you were the one for me and I for you.”
“Innocent is an extraordinary being. It really seems like yesterday, (I can’t believe he is 40 already) he was 24 and I was 15,” she adds.
“And I still see the same man when I look at him. So full of life, so much energy. He is always optimistic about life. He is never afraid of the next day with the little or nothing he had…” she intimates.
“He always says… ‘Baby you worry too much. Just believe, believe’. I remember many evenings he would walk me from 201 in FESTAC to the major road outside Festac, the road was so wide and scary to cross that he would have to hold my hands and we would run across the road together!” She continues to narrate.
“Once I got in the bus going to CMS he would wait till it was full and wave at me till the bus was out of his sight. His smile while waving is still very fresh in my memory, Baby do you remember those evenings?”

Annie Idibia Familly; Wedding And Marriage And Children

Annie Macaulay–Idibia is married to 2face Idibia with whom she has two children. She also owns a beauty salon in Atlanta called "BeOlive Hair Studio"
She has 5 step-children: Zion Idibia (born in January 2006), Nino Idibia (born in April 2008), Rose Idibia, Justin Idibia and a son who’s name is unknown (born in April 2012).

She gave birth to her 1st child, a daughter Isabella Idibia, in December 2008. In January 3rd 2014 she gave birth to her 2nd child, Olivia Idibia.
