If you live in Lagos and own a small business in need of a financial boost to get it to the next growth stage, here’s an opportunity you should take a look at.
The Lagos State Government has set up a
fund to help residents of the state build their businesses and further
their entrepreneurial pursuits. The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund
(LSETF) will be taking up to ₦25 billion in the direction of Lagosians
who want to scale up their businesses or gain skills that could help
them get better jobs. Its pilot scheme is now open to the public; under
the loan program, owners of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs)
are invited to apply for loans of up to ₦5 million.
How to Apply
- Log on to the LSETF website, and enter the loan program page.
- Download and read the application guidelines.
- Download and fill the application form.
- Submit the completed form to the LSETF office. They’re at the Synergy Building, 16 Billings Way, Oregun-Ikeja, Lagos. Note that the form must include a copy of the LASRRA (Lagos State Residents Registration Agency) card and Tax Identification Number. Applications lacking these would be considered invalid.
Entries close after the first 1,000
successful applicants are selected. So if you’re interested, you’ll have
