INTRODUCTION

Caroline is half Scott and half Nigerian, She entered the movie industry circa 2004, and became popular after acting in the Chico Ejiro movie 'Deadly Care'. She quit the movie acting in 2007 after she got married to the popular billionaire Musa Danjuma.

 EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND

Caroline was born to a Scottish  father and a Yoruba mother, She has two half brothers, Tunde Raphael Afolabi and Abiodun Solomon Afolabi, but not half-cast like her. Their father is from Ejigbo, an ancient town in Osun Stae of Nigeria.
According to her, her mother is God fearing, hardworking, disciplined and talented, she's Mrs. Jennifer Afolabi, from Oriyo family in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, though she parted ways with her step father, she's a Fashion Designer in USA.
Speaking on her Father and Mother;
Q: Do you how she met your father?
"Umm…from what I heard, she was the first runner up of a beauty pageant, Miss Uyo from where my father met her, they fell in love and both travelled to Spain where she attended a Fashion School and later got married"
Q: And your dad?
"Don't really know much of him, he's Scottish, his parents were wine producers, I hardly hear from him unless his uncle who's here in Nigeria, but I believe my father is fine because I spoke with him…I think couple of years ago…he's in France right now."

Her father Julian David Hollinwarth Hornelin who has invited her over to his side but her mum wouldn't let her. They were not in good terms and her mum said has to be at least 18 years before she could allow her to travel which got her dad upset. Accordign to her, her mother was actually scared that may be as a man, her father would not not give her the required attention.

Speaking on how she coped as a young lady with no father and mother around;
Q: Your mum is in the US, Dad in France, how do you cope with living?
"I have lived to be an independent girl all my life. Though it is hard sometimes, I can tell you I have never compromise my body for money because I believe in God. I remembered when I was writing my second JAMB examinations, I was with my aunty and things were really tough, I had to try modelling even though I was born with silver spoon, when I looked at the way life was, I just believed that if I really wanted to depend on people, I don't think I can survive for long. So, I decided to move on my own and struggle for myself. That has really helped me right now. I started as a model, my grandmother supported me with so much advice. And when I got into school, I continued the struggle and became an actress. My grandmother was particularly of help, she was of the opinion that with determination and consistency, I'll become a star. I edged on and was always contented with whatever I get, I was not like every other girl, like, oh! 'I must have a gold wrist watch by all means because I know I must have them one day'. Though, I knew then that there were so many ways I could have them if I really wanted to, I'd always believe in God's time as the best, so I was studious and hardworking till I got here."

As a little girl, She'd always wanted to be a model, a super runway model, not a billboard or TV. And when she told her grand mum, she was against it because she thought it was not good for her as her grandma's only pet, she did not want anything to hurt her. She did not want her in the midst of guys for reasons. But she had to convince her that she shouldn't forget the way she brought her up and that She won't disappoint her.
Her modelling experience according to her was very interesting, "in fact if it hadn't been the many cautious warning my grandma had imparted in me, I would have fallen for the whiff of money because my first agent almost corrupted me." She says.

Her first agent was always giving her a job that had to do with her seeing the director at odd hours. "They would called me up at 10.00pm when I would have slept in my grandma's house, they promised me billboard and some other interesting jobs but I turned them down because I knew it were all tantrums to sleep with me, this I coped with until I came across Tony Jackson, who was a very nice agent, though I was not registered to him, I only freelanced. Through him, I got Burden of the Wool, Calypso and some other jobs. I didn't really do most of the jobs he gave me because of school." She says.

During her primary school days, she was a very intelligent and focus student. She remembered she was always getting, 'Best Neatest and Best Behaved Girl Awards', may be that was because she came from the UK then. As for Secondary School, she attended a boarding school, Federal Government Girls College, Oyo and later left for African Church Model College where her grandma was a principal. She was made a prefect in charge of the Principal's office and Sanitation. She was one of the best students in Mathematics, English and Geography, She is presently a graduate of the University of Calabar where she studied Environmental Protection Management and Geography.

CAREER AND LIFE

She started her acting career just like every other adventure in life, Rita Dominic introduced her to acting and I've ever since been in it big time. Until 2007 when she stopped actinng to focus more on her family and marriage, She got married to a billionaire divorcee in 2007 and as of 2015 she has 3 kids with her husband.

She got married about the time she won the Best Actress Award for her role in Mass Destruction at The Nigeria Movies Award that was hosted in Tinapa. However, it was very easy for her to make the switch because she is a go-getter. At that time, her mind was set on marriage; She always wanted to be married at a certain age.She was already a graduate and she wanted to get married and have kids because she felt it was a form of responsibility.

While Caroline has stopped acting, the popular actress has shifted her attention to other areas. She started a record label – Guepard which spun up two acts.
Though her label is on hiatus, Caroline is the executive producer of a brand new movie “In the Cupboard” starring Ini Edo.

Before she got married she was said to have been in a reletiosnhip with the music star 2face.
In an interview back then she was asked the type man she would llove to marry and she said; "Anytime. As soon as the man is responsible, I'm not a money-freak, I just want a God-fearing, wealthy, not rich, I mean he must spiritually, mentally and physically wealthy. When a man has these types of wealth, his riches will be enormous. I also pray for a good listener, kind-hearted as a husband, somebody who's going to strengthen my faith and physical being."

Before she got married, Caroline’s style could be described as “the girl next door” look. Lots of tees, jeans and minis. After her wedding and babies, her style was sophisticated though a little mature for someone in her 20s. Caroline seems to have found the perfect balance and has been spotted looking good.
Speaking About Our Decision:
Why have you taken a break from acting?
"I did not leave acting. What I did was set my priorities right. At the time I left the scene, I was a newly-wed and a young mother. All that mattered to me were my husband and children. We all know that acting is very demanding, so I had to do a careful consideration. I had just graduated from the University of Calabar, where I studied for a degree in Environmental Protection and Geography at the University of Calabar and I had a lot of things on my plate.Because talent never wanes, I decided to concentrate on working on the foundation of my marriage and my children. I tried to go back to the industry but I think the time wasn’t right."
Do you miss being on screen?
"I miss being an actress especially when I watch Nollywood movies. Interestingly, I can no longer refer to myself as an actress because I have not been consistent. As much as I have my priorities, I still desire to be a part of the industry which brought me so much joy. Thankfully, I played a supporting role in a movie I shot alongside Moses Inwang titled Stalker. I was an assistant director, co-executive producer and stylist on set; it was a collaborative effort."
 Aside from acting, what projects are you currently working on?
I am working on opening a luxury empire, which I want to be considered a mini Dubai; I have always loved departmental stores and malls. I want to create a foreign ambience and it will comprise of a spa, beauty salon, interior designing, fashion designing and make- up institutes. I still run my production company and we specialise in screenwriting, directing and other related areas. I have had to undergo trainings at the Academy of Freelance Makeup and the Institute of Interior Designing which are both in London.
