Actor,Director,Producer Kunle Afolayan Full Biography,Life And News

FULL NAME:             Kunle Afolayan

DATE OF BIRTH:       30 September 1974 (age 41

OCCUPATION:            Producer,Director and Actor

MARITAL STATUS:   Married

INTRODUCTION

Kunle Afolayan is a popular Nigerian Filmmaker, actor and film director. He can be said to one Nigeria's most hardworking and successful movie producers. Many of his his movies are among the top 20 highest grossing Nigerian movies ever.

EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND

Kunle Afolayan is of Yoruba descent. He is the son of the famous theater and film director and producer Ade Love. He majored in economics

Before he became a filmmaker, He started off as an actor in 1998, and when the zeal , anxiety and dream of wanting to become a filmmaker came, he approached established filmmakers like Tade Ogidan and Tunde Kelani.

Tunde Kelani gave him audience and when he said he wanted to be a filmmaker,Kelani asked him  said what does he know about films? Told him filmmaking is not a fluke – you have to learn it, you need to go to school – Kelani adviced him he start as an actor, that if he started as an actor, he could start like his father.

When it was time for them to shoot Saworoide movie, they invited him for an audition and he scaled through and that was how he started as an actor.  But, the following year, he started working in the bank so that didn’t give him room to feature in so many films, so while in the bank between 1998 and 2004 he didn’t feature in up to ten films.
So in 2004 he said to himself that he does not belong in the bank, Even though  he was making money, he was comfortable, had a car, and was living in a 4 bedroom flat but it wasn’t really what he wanted to do and one day he resigned, stayed home for 8 months doing research on what he wanted to do.
Afterwards he went to school, did a diploma in digital filmmaking, and came back, set up a production office, it was quite small, just two people.

When Asked About His Challenges As A Movie Producer In An Interview He Said:
"Well, setting up, as an entrepreneur, like getting an office was not difficult for me because there was someone who was just moving out of an office and the person had six months’ rent still available and he said to me, “Kunle, you can take over this office and when the rent lapses you can pay”, and I just said to myself, I doubt if I would be able to pay, because it was in Opebi, but I let me at least enjoy the first six months and I took over the office, I got an office assistant and it was just two of us, then I got myself a computer to learn editing, you know, then this idea of Irapada film came.
From ‘Irapada’ I bought my first camera, you know, so every project that I have done I’m always equipping myself for those projects, that was how it all started. After Irapada, we grew to maybe a company of five staff and we moved out of there to another office, a bigger space, but I would say we have really done well in Golden Effect between 2004 and now, and I think what has really helped or what has been keeping going is the fact that once I dreamt it, it had to be actualized, and I’ve always worked with practically the same people as crew, some of them on contract, some of them as permanent staff but I would say what has really helped is the fact that I’m able to combine my creativity in art with business, and that is why the show is still on because a lot of people don’t break even in art, because when you are doing film or you are doing painting, it’s art so it doesn’t really come with so much reward except a good name and all of that but here we’ve been able to balance it."

CAREER AND LIFE

Before deciding to move into full-time filmmaking and taking a course at the New York Film Academy. Since 2005 he has been active in the Nigerian film industry. He has made several extremely popular titles including: The Figurine: Araromire which was in the Yoruba and English languages and Phone Swap which featured Nse Ikpe Etim and the legendary Chika Okpala.  The Figurine won five major awards in the African Film Academy and experienced tremendous success in the Nigerian movie theaters. Kunle Afolayan appeared at the Subversive Film Festival in 2011 where he represented the second largest film industry in the world, the Nigerian film industry, with his colleague Zeb Ejiro.

In May 2013, Phone Swap premiered in France at the first edition of NollywoodWeek Paris and won the Public Choice Award. Afolayan's father Adeyemi Josiah Afolayan (Ade-Love) was a renowned Nigerian artist of the second half of the 20th century. He worked in traveling theater and turned to the film making industry. Afolayan's father felt strongly about education and therefore Afolayan completed his studies in accounting.
IN AN INTERVIEW HE WAS ASKED:

Out of all the movies you’ve produced and directed, which one is your favourite so far?
Kunle Afolayan:  That’s a tough question because I think they are different genres, they are different kinds of films so people relate to them differently so they have their advantages. Irapada, which was the first film, cut across the lower Yoruba crowd; Figurine was what did it for me, it went really international, recognized all over the world; it cost me. In fact that was the most difficult film I have ever done in my entire life. October 1 is not even as difficult as Figurine.
SUI: And why is that?
Kunle Afolayan: Well, it’s because after Figurine, I did Phone Swap, so I’ve been able to master the flow, the trade and business. October 1 is supposed to be more difficult because it’s even set in a particular period and it benches you to a particular work flow, you can’t shoot in a modern setting and you can’t have cables and masts and billboards, mobile phones, you can’t have all of these showing in your film, meaning our direction must be accurate.
While for Figurine – going from Irapada to Figurine was a bold step. Figurine was a step that nobody in this country has ever tried before, so it cost arm and leg – we lost a lot of equipment, a lot of people fell ill after the shoot, it was really tough and it’s because we embarked on something that seemed bigger than we bargained for.

Kunle Afolayan is now one the most prolific film makers in Nigeria, he is one of the few film makers who was able to propel African films into cinemas. Nollywood is mainly a home video industry, which means once a film is completed, the videos are distributed straight to DVD distributors. so in Nigeria, only a small number of films make it to the cinema. but Kunle Afoloyan changed this, he was able to draw the Nigerian audience by creating films that are worthy of the African cinema and the international market at large.

One of his movies Figurine was nominated in 10 categories at the 2010 African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) the film received great reviews both locally and internationally. His other films include Irapa which means redemption in Yoruba and Phone swap was also welcomed by Nigerian audiences.
After the release of october 1 movie Kunle Afolayan became the producer of the second highest grossing Nigerian of all time, the movie gained a lot of awards and positive reviews.
As of 2015 Kunle annouced another film in the making a movie titled "The CEO" many Nigerians already fell in love with the movie before its release following the social media talks.

Actress/Businesswoman Caroline Danjuma Full Biography,Life And News

FULL NAME:             Caroline Ekanem Danjuma

DATE OF BIRTH:       June 26, 1987

OCCUPATION:           Businesswoman, Movie Producer, Actress.

MARITAL STATUS:    Married

INTRODUCTION

Caroline is half Scott and half Nigerian, She entered the movie industry circa 2004, and became popular after acting in the Chico Ejiro movie 'Deadly Care'. She quit the movie acting in 2007 after she got married to the popular billionaire Musa Danjuma.

 EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND

Caroline was born to a Scottish  father and a Yoruba mother, She has two half brothers, Tunde Raphael Afolabi and Abiodun Solomon Afolabi, but not half-cast like her. Their father is from Ejigbo, an ancient town in Osun Stae of Nigeria.
According to her, her mother is God fearing, hardworking, disciplined and talented, she's Mrs. Jennifer Afolabi, from Oriyo family in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, though she parted ways with her step father, she's a Fashion Designer in USA.
Speaking on her Father and Mother;
Q: Do you how she met your father?
"Umm…from what I heard, she was the first runner up of a beauty pageant, Miss Uyo from where my father met her, they fell in love and both travelled to Spain where she attended a Fashion School and later got married"
Q: And your dad?
"Don't really know much of him, he's Scottish, his parents were wine producers, I hardly hear from him unless his uncle who's here in Nigeria, but I believe my father is fine because I spoke with him…I think couple of years ago…he's in France right now."

Her father Julian David Hollinwarth Hornelin who has invited her over to his side but her mum wouldn't let her. They were not in good terms and her mum said has to be at least 18 years before she could allow her to travel which got her dad upset. Accordign to her, her mother was actually scared that may be as a man, her father would not not give her the required attention.

Speaking on how she coped as a young lady with no father and mother around;
Q: Your mum is in the US, Dad in France, how do you cope with living?
"I have lived to be an independent girl all my life. Though it is hard sometimes, I can tell you I have never compromise my body for money because I believe in God. I remembered when I was writing my second JAMB examinations, I was with my aunty and things were really tough, I had to try modelling even though I was born with silver spoon, when I looked at the way life was, I just believed that if I really wanted to depend on people, I don't think I can survive for long. So, I decided to move on my own and struggle for myself. That has really helped me right now. I started as a model, my grandmother supported me with so much advice. And when I got into school, I continued the struggle and became an actress. My grandmother was particularly of help, she was of the opinion that with determination and consistency, I'll become a star. I edged on and was always contented with whatever I get, I was not like every other girl, like, oh! 'I must have a gold wrist watch by all means because I know I must have them one day'. Though, I knew then that there were so many ways I could have them if I really wanted to, I'd always believe in God's time as the best, so I was studious and hardworking till I got here."

As a little girl, She'd always wanted to be a model, a super runway model, not a billboard or TV. And when she told her grand mum, she was against it because she thought it was not good for her as her grandma's only pet, she did not want anything to hurt her. She did not want her in the midst of guys for reasons. But she had to convince her that she shouldn't forget the way she brought her up and that She won't disappoint her.
Her modelling experience according to her was very interesting, "in fact if it hadn't been the many cautious warning my grandma had imparted in me, I would have fallen for the whiff of money because my first agent almost corrupted me." She says.

Her first agent was always giving her a job that had to do with her seeing the director at odd hours. "They would called me up at 10.00pm when I would have slept in my grandma's house, they promised me billboard and some other interesting jobs but I turned them down because I knew it were all tantrums to sleep with me, this I coped with until I came across Tony Jackson, who was a very nice agent, though I was not registered to him, I only freelanced. Through him, I got Burden of the Wool, Calypso and some other jobs. I didn't really do most of the jobs he gave me because of school." She says.

During her primary school days, she was a very intelligent and focus student. She remembered she was always getting, 'Best Neatest and Best Behaved Girl Awards', may be that was because she came from the UK then. As for Secondary School, she attended a boarding school, Federal Government Girls College, Oyo and later left for African Church Model College where her grandma was a principal. She was made a prefect in charge of the Principal's office and Sanitation. She was one of the best students in Mathematics, English and Geography, She is presently a graduate of the University of Calabar where she studied Environmental Protection Management and Geography.

CAREER AND LIFE

She started her acting career just like every other adventure in life, Rita Dominic introduced her to acting and I've ever since been in it big time. Until 2007 when she stopped actinng to focus more on her family and marriage, She got married to a billionaire divorcee in 2007 and as of 2015 she has 3 kids with her husband.

She got married about the time she won the Best Actress Award for her role in Mass Destruction at The Nigeria Movies Award that was hosted in Tinapa. However, it was very easy for her to make the switch because she is a go-getter. At that time, her mind was set on marriage; She always wanted to be married at a certain age.She was already a graduate and she wanted to get married and have kids because she felt it was a form of responsibility.

While Caroline has stopped acting, the popular actress has shifted her attention to other areas. She started a record label – Guepard which spun up two acts.
Though her label is on hiatus, Caroline is the executive producer of a brand new movie “In the Cupboard” starring Ini Edo.

Before she got married she was said to have been in a reletiosnhip with the music star 2face.
In an interview back then she was asked the type man she would llove to marry and she said; "Anytime. As soon as the man is responsible, I'm not a money-freak, I just want a God-fearing, wealthy, not rich, I mean he must spiritually, mentally and physically wealthy. When a man has these types of wealth, his riches will be enormous. I also pray for a good listener, kind-hearted as a husband, somebody who's going to strengthen my faith and physical being."

Before she got married, Caroline’s style could be described as “the girl next door” look. Lots of tees, jeans and minis. After her wedding and babies, her style was sophisticated though a little mature for someone in her 20s. Caroline seems to have found the perfect balance and has been spotted looking good.
Speaking About Our Decision:
Why have you taken a break from acting?
"I did not leave acting. What I did was set my priorities right. At the time I left the scene, I was a newly-wed and a young mother. All that mattered to me were my husband and children. We all know that acting is very demanding, so I had to do a careful consideration. I had just graduated from the University of Calabar, where I studied for a degree in Environmental Protection and Geography at the University of Calabar and I had a lot of things on my plate.Because talent never wanes, I decided to concentrate on working on the foundation of my marriage and my children. I tried to go back to the industry but I think the time wasn’t right."
Do you miss being on screen?
"I miss being an actress especially when I watch Nollywood movies. Interestingly, I can no longer refer to myself as an actress because I have not been consistent. As much as I have my priorities, I still desire to be a part of the industry which brought me so much joy. Thankfully, I played a supporting role in a movie I shot alongside Moses Inwang titled Stalker. I was an assistant director, co-executive producer and stylist on set; it was a collaborative effort."
Aside from acting, what projects are you currently working on?
I am working on opening a luxury empire, which I want to be considered a mini Dubai; I have always loved departmental stores and malls. I want to create a foreign ambience and it will comprise of a spa, beauty salon, interior designing, fashion designing and make- up institutes. I still run my production company and we specialise in screenwriting, directing and other related areas. I have had to undergo trainings at the Academy of Freelance Makeup and the Institute of Interior Designing which are both in London.

NATIONAL HERO: Herbert Macaulay Full Biography,Life, Heroic Works And His Legend

FULL NAME:         Olayinka Badmus Macaulay

DATE OF BIRTH:   November 14, 1864

OCCUPATION:       Politician, Engineer, Architect, Journalist, Musician.

           DECEASED
       May 7, 1946 (aged 81)

INTRODUCTION

Herbert Macaulay was a Nigerian nationalist, politician, engineer, architect, journalist, and musician Legend says he is the founder of Nigerian nationalism.
One of the first leaders of the Nigerian opposition to British colonial rule, he was also a civil engineer, journalist, and accomplished musician.

EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND

Olayinka Macaulay Badmus was born in Lagos on 14 November 1864 to Thomas Babington Macaulay and Abigail Crowther, children of people captured from what is now present day Nigeria, resettled in Sierra Leone by the British West Africa Squadron, and eventual returnees to present day Nigeria.
Thomas Babington Macaulay was one of the sons of Ojo Oriare while Abigail Crowther was the daughter of Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther, a descendant of King Abiodun. Thomas Babington Macaulay was the founder of the first secondary school in Nigeria, the CMS Grammar School, Lagos. After going to a Christian missionary school, he took a job as a clerk at the Lagos Department of Public Works. From 1891 to 1894 he studied civil engineering in Plymouth, England. On his return, he worked for the Crown as a land inspector. He left his position in 1898 due to growing distaste for the British rule over the Lagos Colony and the position of Yorubaland and the Niger Coast Protectorate as British colonies in all but name.

Herbert Macaulay was an unlikely champion of the masses. A grandson of Ajayi Crowther, the first African bishop of the Niger Territory, he was born into a Lagos that was divided politically into groups arranged in a convenient pecking order – the British rulers who lived in the posh Marina district, the Saros and other slave descendants who lived to the west, and the Brazilians who lived behind the whites in the Portuguese Town. Behind all three lived the real Lagosians, the masses of indigenous Yoruba people, disliked and generally ignored by their privileged neighbours. It was not until Macaulay’s generation that the Saros and Brazilians even began to contemplate making common cause with the masses.

CAREER AND LIFE, AND HEROIC WORKS

Back then, Lagos was a segregated town. Europeans stayed in the best parts of town, migrants from Brazil and Sierra Leone stayed elsewhere, natives, elsewhere. Herb attended his father’s school, CMS, then Fourah Bay College in Freetown, Sierra Leone. He returned to Lagos in 1882 and got a job in the Department of Public Works. In July 1890, he left the Lagos Colony for Plymouth in England, to study Civil Engineering under G. D. Bellamy. He was there for three years.

When Macaulay returned to the Lagos Colony in 1893, he was appointed Surveyor of Crown Lands by the colonial government. However, he resigned five years later, because of what he termed “racial discrimination against indigenous civil servants by the European elite”. Following his 1898 resignation from the Department of Works, Herb Macaulay established his own private practice in Lagos. However, Macaulay’s venture was not a success, and faced with financial distress, he defrauded a family dependent, and was caught and sent to prison for two years. This prison stint, effectively barred him from ever running for public office under the colonial administration.
Upon his release from prison in 1908, Macaulay became more involved in the political arena, and began contributing a weekly column to the Lagos Daily Times. His articles were often critical of government policy, the liquor trade; the water-rate scheme; taxation; racial segregation; attempts to deny indigenous land ownership; and a free press.

In 1915, Macaulay led protests which became known as the water rate riots and also led agitation against colonial plans for land reform. His articles often skirted the edges of sedition, and finally, he crossed the line, giving the government the chance it needed to put him in prison again. This second visit to the jailers (for six months) involved the publication of a rumour concerning a plot to assassinate the exiled Eleko of Lagos.

After his release from prison, Macaulay took a somewhat more cautious line, but his writing remained highly critical. In 1921 he went to London with the Eleko of Lagos to act as his translator in the legal appeal of a local land tenure case. Macaulay proclaimed that the British colonial government was eroding the power and authority of the Eleko, who, he said, was recognized by all Nigerians as the rightful king of Lagos. This episode embarrassed the British and established Macaulay as a leading advocate of the rights of traditional leadership in Lagos.
A brief synopsis of the Oluwa Affair: the colonial authority had bought a large parcel of land(255 acres) from the Oluwa Family, and underpaid for it. Chief Oluwa sued for better compensation, and following that trip to London, on 14 June 1921, the Privy Council ruled in favour of Chief Oluwa. The Privy Council’s ruling said that communal land-ownership was legally recognized and that due compensation should be paid.

The Eleko Affair: Macaulay campaigned for the rights of traditional rulers within the colonial structure, and alleged that the colonists wanted to kill the Eleko. Again, the Privy Council, also on the same trip to London, ruled in favour of Macaulay’s side. These victories hardened political lines.
In 1922 a new Nigerian constitution was introduced providing for limited franchise elections in Lagos and Calabar. In 1923, he started the Nigerian National Democratic Party (NNDP), which contested the very limited elections of African members of the Legislative Council. The NNDP’s motto was “salus populi suprema lex”, “the safety of the people is the greatest law” and it called for universal compulsory education for Nigerians. NNDP candidates won all the elective seats in the Nigerian legislature between 1923 and 1938. But then in 1938, things changed.

The NNDP’s dominance was cut short in 1938 when the Nigerian Youth Movement beat them in the elections for the Lagos Town Council. Following that defeat, Macaulay, who up until the time was not too interested in politics outside of Lagos, adopted a more pan-Nigeria outlook. He saw prospects in Nnamdi Azikiwe’s NCNC’s struggle for independence for all of Nigeria, and by August 1944 had reached an agreement with Zik. Many of his own party members did not want to join forces with the NCNC, but he threatened to resign if they didn’t, so they played ball.
By the time Macaulay’s merger with Zik’s NCNC was complete in August 1944, Macaulay was already 80 years old and in failing health. In 1946, Macaulay suffered an acute attack of rheumatism during a tour of Kano, and was brought back to Lagos. Herbert Macaulay died, aged 82, on 7 May 1946.

Let us get one thing straight. Herbert Macaulay was no saint. He had an opportunistic streak. He was, in his time, certainly very controversial.
Obafemi Awolowo described him as “ultra-radical, intensely nationalistic and virulently anti-white”. Piers Brendon described Macaulay in later life as “an angry old man in a white suit and a white moustache that stuck out like cat’s whiskers”.

Fred Lugard, who was in many ways Macaulay’s greatest adversary consistently passed bitter comments about him and called him duplicitous. Macaulay was rumoured to have popped a bottle of champagne when he heard of Lugard’s passing in 1945.
Margery Perham, Lugard’s biographer, who visited Macaulay in 1931, described him as “one of the ablest Africans I have met, and at one both dangerous and pathetic”.

What is certain is that Herbert Macaulay was no saint. He did what had to be done, when it had to be done, and if needed, in a Machiavellian fashion. Macaulay once wrote a response to claims by the British that they were governing with “the true interests of the natives at heart”. Macaulay wrote: “The dimensions of “the true interests of the natives at heart” are algebraically equal to the length, breadth and depth of the white man’s pocket.”

The year Macaulay left civil service, he got romantically entangled with Caroline Pratt, who happened to be the daughter of an African Police Superintendent. They later got married but the union came to an end in August 1899 following Caroline's sudden death. They had no kids from the marriage. Even after her death, he maintained good relations with the Pratt family and saw to their welfare. A devastated Herbert later married Maria Pase but some records indicated that he also kept a string of mistresses who bore him a battalion of children. Caring for the kids sapped his pockets but he had no option.

Herbert was the fifth child (out of seven) of his parents and his siblings included Owen Emeric Macaulay (died in July 1909, was Abigail's eldest son), Thomas Fowell Buxton Macaulay (second child, died in September 1928) while the third sibling was Hugh Stowell Macaulay.

FAMILY
One of his sons, Ogedengbe Macaulay also took after him with his own militant brand of politics. Ogedengbe was a Zikist and at a time in 1948, with the NCNC becoming weaker, he and some other Zikists decided to take some pro-active steps. On an occasion, he said 'If we tell the Governor to come down, he will not; we must drag him down and take over.' Some of his other children include:
-HERBERT K. MACAULAY
-FRANK MONTAGUE MACAULAY (died)
-MISS FLORENCE AUGUSTA MACAULAY (eldest daughter, died)

DEATH

In 1946 Macaulay fell ill in Kano and later died in Lagos. The leadership of the NCNC went to Azikiwe, who later became the first president of Nigeria. Macaulay was buried at Ikoyi Cemetery in Lagos on 11 May 1946. Nnamdi Azikiwe delivered a funeral oration at Macaulay's burial ceremony.

As many may not presently, Herbert Macaulay is the  image on the Nigerian one naira note and coin in respect for his heroism and  legendary. The one naira note or coin may no longer exist in the Nigeria monetary world.

T.I.N Magazine's 2015 Headies Next Rated award poll finally comes to an end; Lil Kesh Or Reekado Banks To Win The Award.. See Why

http://thenet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Omawumi_MI1.jpg
Headies!
Hello dear readers, early last month we nominated five Nigerian artists who are worthy to win the Headies Next Award rated this year, We nominated DI'JA, REEKADO BANKS, LIL KESH, KOREDE BELLO And KISS DANIEL.
Just so you know, we nominated these five people before Headies released their official nominees  early this month. And their nominees were same with ours except for DI'JA.

T.I.N Magazine personally ran a poll on our nominees for headies to see who is going to win, yes, we asked you guys to vote and you did! And finally T.I.N Magazine bring to you the end result and the two people most likely to win The Headies Next Rated Award 2015!
We could only find 600 votes which we were expecting more than that but some people complained to us via email that they didn't find it easy to vote maybe that's why we didn't see many votes, anyways, we will fix that error in any next poll we conduct.

SEE THE POLL RESULTS BELOW:

Artists              No. of Votes     Votes In Percentage
D'ija
  56
                9%
Korede Bello
  84
               14%
Kiss Daniel
 119
               20%
Lil Kesh
 205
               35%
Reekado Banks
 127
               21%

T.I.N MAGAZINE REVIEW:

As you can see clearly that Lil Kesh has the highest number of votes followed by Reekado Banks
These results has shown us the people most Nigerians will vote on headies website this year.

LET US TELL YOU WHO WILL WIN:
You guys have done your voting and we could see Lil Kesh won and Reekado followed from your side, over here in T.I.N Magazine's camp we did our voting and Reekado Banks won and Lil Kesh followed, which means these two people are most likely to win the award.
But we gotta tell you, this year's Headies Nominees is arguably the tightest ever since 2011 when the likes of Wizkid,Olamide, Ice Prince and Tiwa Savage were nominated.

We got the likes of Kiss Daniel who we can see in the poll conducted was close to Reekado, following the way headies officials judge, Kiss Daniel totally deserves winning the award, even Patoranking who won last year didn't do up to what Kiss Daniel has done this year, "Woju" is one of the biggest songs of the year if not the biggest, followed by "Laye" and more other collaborations.

Lets look at Reekado Banks, this guy won the Rookie of the year award last year for his hard work, now this year i am sure most of you have heard; Katapot, Sugar Baby, Chop Am, and more.. This guy released a lot of hit singles within last year and this year, he worked on a few collabos too. So he absolutely deserves it.

Now lets talk Lil Kesh, We all knew Headies should have at least nominate him for Rookie of the year award last year but they didn't, why? we don't know! After Dorobucci, Shoki was actually the biggest song of last year, now coming to this year he released two other hit singles; "Gbese" and "Efejoku" Not to mention he is the most featured artist among these nominees this year that’s huge!

Why Lil Kesh Could Win
If the rumor of Headies looking down on rappers is not true Lil Kesh could walk home with the Next Rated Carat Gold and a Hyundai car.
Because according to headies the awards will be judge based on their  performance from JULY 2014 to JULY 2015  which will have his biggest song "Shoki" among the criteria for his judging.
With the two hit songs and multiple collaborations this year + Last year's Shoki and the votes we definitely tell you Lil Kesh is the most worthy to win the Headies this year.

Why Reekado could win
There is a rumor going on that Headies won't give the Next Rated Award to a rapper most especially an indigenous one, We have not confirmed that though. But if that is true it means Reekado might walk home with the Next Rated Carat Gold and a Hyundai car for his hard work and his town shaking hit singles and of course Nigerians vote this year. If he wins it he deserves it!

Why Kiss Daniel Won't Win
Well, Kiss tried his total best this year but the songs aren't just enough with only two hit songs within JUNE 2014-JUNE 2015 is a bit small to compete with his major competitors; Reekado and Lil Kesh . He is probably going to be compensated with a huge award though; like "Song of the year" but not Next rated.

SO T.I.N MAGAZINE THEREFORE ANNOUNCE: LIL KESH OR REEKADO BANKS The Most Likely To Win Headies Next Rated 2015.

TRUST T.I.N MAGAZINE'S REVIEW!
